Career
Sinha was an IAS officer before being a politician and he resigned his post in 1984 and joined active politics as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 1986 he was elected as a member of parliament and later on, he also became the national spokesperson of the BJP in June 1996.
On 13th June 2009, he resigned from the post of vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Party which is BJP. And on 13th March 2021, he joined the general Congress to fight against BJP just before the 2021 West Bengal assembly election. In 2022, there was going to be a presidential election to launch him as a new face for the presidential election against Draupadi Murmu.
