Career
She was only 26 years old when her family members threw acid on her face at home. At the time, her mother had been living with her sister and brother-in-law who weren’t treating her well. They always used to force her to get married so that they could be the only owner of her mother’s property.
After some time when she became irritated by all these things she filed a police complaint and the police made her understand how to solve this case in family court. But had this action became totally opposite and her sister and brother-in-law threw her out of the house and threw acid on her face.
In an interview she said that after the acid attack at 48% of body was completely burned and at that time she had not got perfect treatment because of this currently she is also having marks on her body.
Because of not getting proper treatment she understands the pain of an acid attack survivor and so she is running her own NGO Shah foundation which is mainly for helping the persons who are the survivors of acid attack and not getting a perfect treatment.
